Penn Yan Aero overhauled engines are built to model specific, new, zero-time fits and tolerances, dynamically balanced to within 0.20 ounce/inches of the OEM’s original specification, and fully comply with all FAA Airworthiness Directives, Factory Service Bulletins and Instructions. In addition, Penn Yan Aero has developed specialized, FAA Approved and proprietary repair certifications that allow the talented people at Penn Yan Aero to actually improve engines through its overhaul process. All personnel and everything needed to overhaul, inspect, test, and maintain tight quality control standards are in-House at Penn Yan Aero.

Penn Yan Aero provides free round-trip shipping on all Penn Yan Aero overhauled engines from and to any address in the contiguous United States. For all other locations, Penn Yan Aero will provide free shipping from and to approved near-point entry/exit to the contiguous United States. Details apply and shipping must be arranged by Penn Yan Aero.
Installation, Break-In, & Support
When you receive your Penn Yan Aero overhauled engine you’ll find a packing list with content inventory, your updated logbook, a copy of your engine test results, and break-in instructions. A great installation is part of great engine performance. Penn Yan Aero recommends that you replace your engine mounts, carefully inspect and replace as necessary your exhaust system, and airframe parts such as cooling baffles and seals, hoses, wiring, and control cables. It is strongly advised that you have a spin-on type oil filter. Make sure you follow the break-in instructions and oil recommendations. The Penn Yan Aero technical staff is available to you and your mechanic to address any installation and break-in questions. Penn Yan Aero’s goal is your complete satisfaction.

When you purchase a factory new, rebuilt, or overhauled engine from Penn Yan Aero, you become a customer of Penn Yan Aero. That means that Penn Yan Aero looks out for your best interests, provides service and support to you, your FBO, or mechanic from installation through the service life of the engine. Penn Yan Aero will help you understand the ins and outs of factory policies, manage core deposits and exchange engines, make you aware of any Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, or Instructions, and will advocate for you on warranty issues. Penn Yan Aero will extend to you any factory specials or incentives available at time of order. In return, Penn Yan Aero charges $500 over cost plus appropriate shipping.
